The makers of the much-talked-about movie starring Abhishek Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra, Amitabh Bachchan, Kay Kay Menon and Jaya Bachchan, has shifted it’s release by one week. The movie was earlier to be released on august 15 and was to clash with the release of Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika starrer “Bachna Ae Haseeno.”
However, the makers have decided to back out from the race and release their movie a week after, i.e. on 22nd August 2008. Drona is said to be high budget and has high expectations.With the look of it, will the movie help Abhishek earn a hit??

Mumbai model and budding film actor, Sayali Bhagat is taking the opposite route. She is moving away from Mumbai and towards the South to build a career in Tollywood (the Telegu film industry). "Being a total Mumbaiyya, I thought South Indian films wouldn't be my cup of tea," she says, "But after working here, I've changed my mind and I'm looking for a career in Tollywood."
Sayali, who made her debut opposite Emraan Hashmi in The Train in Bollywood, has just finished her first Telegu films, Blade Babji, a comedy for which the early vibes feel good. She already has two more films lined up with Paying Guest and Good Luck.
So is the former Miss India, who has spent the last few years treading the catwalks of places like the Milan International Fashion Show, now a committed comedy actress? "Well comedy is the flavour of the season, and most of the films that are doing well are comedies. Commercial success is important to me, at least at the beginning of my career. But I would like to be termed as a versatile actor."
To back up her claim, she has also appeared in Black Gandhi, a dark satire which also stars Mahesh Manjeraker and was recently seen at both the Berlin and Venice film festivals.

26th May’s morning brought the sad news of the producer Jhammu Sugandh’s death. The producer died of brain hemorrhage, and was admitted in hospital last night. He has produced many films like Aks, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. He was also to produce “Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane” but due to financial problems, couldn’t take up the project. With all our hearts, let’s wish he rests in peace.

Director Anurag Basu is in a mess. In his film ‘Kites’, he has a kissing scene in which actor Hrithik Roshan is supposed to kiss model Barbara Mori. But, much to Basu’s anguish, comes in the orthodox Indian father, i.e., papa Rakesh Roshan who has shown serious opposition to his son kissing another woman.

Now that the incredible album is out, the clamor for all things Jaane Tu...Ya Jaane Na and all things Imran Khan has gone to an even higher level. The film, which opens July 4th, is eagerly anticipated by many a fan and with a producer like Aamir Khan one can expect a great film. In a recent interview with Mark Manuel, Imran Khan, talked about his famous Maamu, Aamir Khan and Aamir talked about his soon to be famous nephew.
Though Jaane Tu is being produced by Aamir’s production company he is not directing the film nor does he consider himself to be the one launching his career. “If I wanted to present Imran with anything, I’d give him a car, not a film.” Though he did introduce the young actor to the world by showing the first picture of him on his blog. “I thought I’d introduce him to my fans,” said Aamir. And in the blog the fans responded very positively. “Go check it out, it ranges from ‘Imran’s a hot hunk’ to ‘My God, he looks so much like you’.”
So what does Aamir think of Imran the actor? Imran said jokingly, “A return in investment!” However Aamir said, “He has an unusual personality on screen, the camera likes him, he’s got a lot of screen presence, his personality suits the script and his character.”
Besides Jaane Tu, Imraan also has two other films in the pipeline, Luck and Kidnap with Sanjay Dutt. Though he has such exciting projects the handsome young man said he does not feel like a star, “For me, acting is just another day at work. I like my work, but acting is in the family, making films is our business.”
Interestingly, Imran has appeared on screen before and it was as a young version of Aamir’s characters in Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak and Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander. Aamir reveals, “You can see his butt on screen, the scene in Jo Jeeta... has him riding a cycle and somebody pulls down his shorts!”
And how was Aamir as a Maamu growing up? “ Maamu was a royal pain when I was growing up. He shaved me bald in my mother’s absence. She was furious,” Imran said.
Aamir remembers laughing, “I used him to get dates with girls. They would find him cute and come up to pinch his cheeks. And I would chat them up!”
Then it was Imran’s turn to talk about his Maamu: “In his first film, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, he wasn’t so good I thought. But now, he’s Bollywood’s best actor. What impresses me is Maamu does it with such ease, he’s not really acting, but he applies himself, he gives everything he’s got, there’s no compromise.”
Along with Aamir, Imran also admires another great actor Hrithik Roshan, “I study everything he does, even his ads, he knows what sells, he’s sincere to his craft, he has a connect with the audience, and talent — that Hrithik has 110 per cent, what a winning combo!”

Neetu Chandra has gone ahead and done what majority of other leading ladies are doing today i.e. kissing their leading man for a film.
After being in the industry for close to 3 years, she has shared her first on-screen lip lock with Abhay Deol. No wonder, Deol would be all pleased and call himself 'lucky' as this happens for their upcoming flick Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!, which, in sweet and simple manner, can be termed as OLLO.
Confirms a source on condition of anonymity, "Yes, Neetu indeed has a kissing scene in OLLO. She has always believed in doing whatever it is best for the film. She didn't think twice about sharing screen presence with two other girls even as stakes were so high for Garam Masala."
She goes on to add, "Later she grabbed the opportunity when Madhur Bhandarkar finalised her for Traffic Signal. It was a big departure for her to get into a non-glam role after a playing an airhostess in her debut film. When everyone was still contemplating around her next move, she took the risk of being one of the four heroines in One Two Three. Now everyone knows that she was the one who stood out most in the role of a Jat cop. This is why when she was told that OLLO would require her to kiss Abhay Deol, she was game for it. She doesn't believe in creating any unnecessary fuss!"

The new movie Jannat is attracting a lot of attention worldwide with its allusions to the suspicions surrounding the death of Pakistan cricket coach Bob Woolmer in Jamaica on March 18th of last year. Although eventually an open verdict was returned at the inquest, the death was shrouded in mystery amidst allegations of match-fixing and gambling surrounding the 2007 World Cup.
The Mahesh Bhatt film Jannat doesn't refer to Bob Woolmer by name but takes place amidst the same milieu of events and people should be able to spot the references.
The film has proved to be such a big hit for Sonal Chauhan, who replaced Esha Deol in the movie, that she has already been offered a role in Raaz 2, the follow-up to the Bhatt's most successful movie so far.
Amisha Patel is going places these days, we mean it literally. She has been on a long vacation with her current boyfriend, Kanav Puri and they've been hanging around together whether in London or Delhi. A close source reveals that the couple is very serious with their relationship and may tie the knot but not soon since all of Amisha's focus is on the professional front.
